LOOIJE ÁGUILAS S.L. has recently carried out a project funded by the CENTRE FOR INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT (CDTI) IDI: 20190080 within the PID-RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT LINE, called “INTEGRATED PRODUCTION CONTROL IN A TECHNOLOGICAL GREENHOUSE TO IMPROVE QUALITY AND FLAVOUR IN CHERRY TOMATOES”.

The overall objective of this project is obtaining the highest quality cherry tomatoes and the best flavour by adapting the greenhouse production processes.

In the line of continuous improvement that LOOIJE ÁGUILAS S.L. has in order to achieve the cherry tomato with the unique flavour so appreciated by consumers, the company implements the latest technologies that allow the monitoring and digitalisation of all the parameters and aspects related to the production of cherry tomatoes and their cultivation cycle.

The project was carried out in the company’s greenhouses in Águilas (Murcia).

The project took 21 months to complete and has now been completed.

The project has been carried out with public support. We have been granted a grant in the form of an interest-free loan and another part of a non-refundable tranche by the CENTRE FOR INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT (CDTI) and the EUROPEAN UNION through co-financing from FEDER funds.
