In April, workers from Looije, the agricultural company specialized in cherry tomatoes, visited María Inmaculada school in Águilas (Murcia) to teach groups of preschool children and E.S.O. students the process of production of cherry tomato Sarita, from its plantation in the greenhouses to its direct consumption. Therefore, the students discovered in a didactic way the work of pollination of the bees, the fruit packaging or its export to ten European countries, among other issues.
At the end of the presentation, the three workers of Looije gave the students bags serigraphed with the image of Sarita, which included cherry tomato Sarita buds and candies. It is not the first time that the agricultural company carries out this kind of actions, since last March two employees visited Joaquín Tendero school, in Águilas as well.
