Looije opens the first school greenhouse of Águilas

This morning, Mari Carmen Moreno, mayor of Águilas; Juan José López, CEO of O.P. Looije; and Josefa Ramírez Navarro, director of C.E.I.P. Las Lomas; inaugurated the first school greenhouse belonging to the collaboration agreement signed by the council of Águilas and the agricultural company specialized in cherry tomato Sarita. The proyect has been promoted and supported by the environmental department, so the act also has counted on the presence of the councilor of that area, Isabel María Torrente. This is the first ecological school warehouse implemented since the agreement was signed.

According to the maximum responsible of the school, the new greenhouse facilities from Looije will initiate its activity “as soon as possible”, with the aim that the students of the centre “can learn by enjoying how to get the fruit and vegetables that come to our table”, a question that, in the case of the C.E.I.P. Las Lomas will be carried out by all the courses from nursery school through 6th of Primary, Ramírez explained. Also, Mari Carmen Moreno, has congratulated Juan José López, CEO of O.P. Looije “the speed in initiating actions that fulfill the commitment acquired”.
